We have a small organic farm in the pristine hills of Tennessee where many of our herbs are organically grown. Many of the other herbs are carefully wild-crafted from the pristine meadows and forests near our farm.
Nature provides us with an abundance of natural medicine in our meadows and forests. In the meadows near our organic farm we find such things as Nettle, which has proven very effective in the treatment of allergies, Golden Rod, Plantain, which is effective when used for spider bite, snakebite, and insect bite, Black-Eyed Susan, which is an immune stimulant similar to Echinacea, Red Clover, Passion Flower, Dandelion, which is useful in detoxification, and Chickweed.
In the forest near our organic farm we find such things as Goldenseal, which is a very effective antibiotic, Ginseng, Black Cohosh, which has proven very effective in menopause, and Gravel Root, to name a few.
Near the pristine river, we find such things as Kudzu, which has proven to lower blood pressure and is a stronger antioxidant than vitamin E.
On our organic farm we grow such things as Hawthorn, which has proven to strengthen the heart muscle, Oregano, which is both medicinal and culinary, St, John’s Wort, Catnip, Basil, Damiana, which has proven to be an effective natural aphrodisiac and has been beneficial in some cases of impotence, Ginkgo, which is beneficial for circulation, Echinacea, which is a beneficial immune stimulant, and Cayenne, which has also proven to be effective as a booster for other herbs and strengthens the heart.
We carefully select and hand-cut these quality ingredients from nature to insure that they contain no adulterants, and make fresh plant herbal extracts from them. We use only pure spring water and alcohol in this process to insure that our herbal extracts contain no chemicals. It is our belief that our maker intended for us to use plants as medicine. We also believe that by using these remedies from nature that we can prevent many serious health conditions.
Climate necessitates the purchase of some of our herbs. We purchase only the finest, organically grown herbs available. We purchase such things as Osha, which is native to desert areas and is an effective remedy in sinusitis, as well as a very effective decongestant, it is also one of the ingredients in our Cold & Flu, and Cat’s Claw, which is native to the mountains of Peru, and is an effective immune stimulant and is also beneficial in the treatment of Candida.
Medicine Woman Herbals has developed several specialty products.
